Justin Svoboda is the Director of Finance and has worked for One3 Design since March of 2000 to keep the business running smoothly and financial records straight.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Northern Iowa.
Justin is an Iowa native. His interests include traveling, playing cards, and watching his two children’s sporting events. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Hawkeye football and basketball games with his wife.
Corey Gross is our Operations Manager for Shop Services. He works with our clients to define project scope, cost and scheduling and oversees a successful completion of those projects.
Corey has completed extensive repair training for Caterpillar and John Deere. In 2009 Corey became a Master Technician for Caterpillar and in 2012 he became an Expert Technician for John Deere.
Corey holds a A.A.S degree in Applied Engineering and Diesel Technology from Kirkwood Community College and A B.S. in Service Operations Management from St Cloud State University.
Corey is originally from Iowa. He enjoys crop farming, working out and camping when not in the office.
Clay Martin serves as the Director of Business Development for One3 Design. He has worked as a
professional consultant and trainer for almost 25 years, specializing in PTC’s suite of digital engineering
solutions. Clay’s areas of expertise include complex and Class-A surface modeling and feature-based
parametric CAD model construction. He has led many endeavors to implement CAD/CAM technology
for his clients and has an extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes. Clay is a degreed engineer
graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1997.
Clay's focus in this company is to use his long-standing industry experience to build strong client
relationships and to promote the diversified strengths of One3 Design. When not in the office, he
enjoys activities with his family like hunting, traveling, and attending sporting events.
Marty Hansen is our Director of Strategic Partnerships. He helps One3 Design grow and expand its strategic reach.
Marty believes that when a great partnership exists, it benefits both parties and the communities they serve.
Marty joined One3 Design in 2013 and has helped with a wide variety of the company’s sales and marketing initiatives. He also serves as one of the business professors at the University of Northern Iowa, teaching in both the Marketing and Management departments in the College of Business Administration.
Marty is a native of southern New Jersey. He has over 30 years of corporate experience and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from LaSalle University along with a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Advertising from Rowan University.
Kaleb Zimmerman is an Engineer who works with his clients to develop innovative products.
Kaleb believes building relationships with his clients is the best way to successfully complete a project.
Kaleb holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
Kaleb is an Iowa native. His interests include wood working and playing the guitar. In his spare time, he
enjoys spending time with his wife, Linsey, and children, Henry, John, and Kate.
Big Tom worked at John Deere Product Engineering for 33½ years retiring in 2001. His work included development of computer software for various applications, including computer aided testing and closed loop controls of on vehicle hydraulics functions.
Big Tom is co-inventor on 12 patents related to various software-based control systems. He has coauthored two papers, one on automated testing and the other on an electronic controlled tractor 3-point hitch.
Big Tom is a native of Wisconsin but has lived in Iowa since 1967. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He and his wife Pat are parents of 6 children and 13 grandchildren.
Bernie has been a PTC software (Creo) specialist and designer for over 20 years. He started as a mold designer in 1995 and worked his way into several opportunities that lead to today’s Design Consultant/Staff Engineer responsibilities with One3 Design.
Bernie specializes in Concept Sketching, Complex Surfacing, and Composite/Plastics Part Design.
In his off hours Bernie enjoys time with his wife and three children. He builds custom computers, volunteers with his local fire department, leads a music group at his church, and enjoys hitting the trails with the Jeep Club.
Terry has worked on a wide variety of plastics, fabricated, cast, & forged steel as well as cast aluminum parts. He has developed tooling for rotational, blow molded, injection molded, and vacuum formed plastics. He has also run his own cast aluminum mold shop, programmed and run many CNC machines.
Terry has been using Pro/e (Creo) since 1993 for part and tooling design.
Terry holds an AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Hawkeye Institute of Technology.
Terry is from MN but now resides in Colorado. His interests include building and off-roading Jeeps, street rods, and homebrewing beer. Lately, he has been spending quite a bit of time with his first grandchild.
Jason Sandersfeld is an engineer who works with clients and suppliers creating 3D models from the initial concept stage throughout the completed design.
Jason knows that creating a quality model of the design is crucial to the desired timing and outcome of the project.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Iowa.
Jason is an Iowa native. His interests include golf, music, theatre and jet setting about the globe.
Matt has over 33 years of experience in the areas of mechanical design, product development, and program management. Significant experience in mobile hydraulic and electro-hydraulic control systems.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in Ag Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from University of Michigan (Dearborn).
Matt is from an Iowa farm and has been actively involved in farm operation, which included ag machine operation and repair. In his free time Matt enjoys spending time at the golf course.
Travis Swehla is a senior engineer who works with clients to initiate solutions and complete projects to specifications needed.
Travis is trained in the engineering software Creo, Design for Six Sigma and Advanced Product Quality Planning.
Travis holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Mechanical Design from NIACC.
Travis and his family live on a century farm in NE Iowa growing corn, soybeans, hay/alfalfa, hogs and cattle. In his spare time, he enjoys working in his shop, anything outdoors, and sports with his kids.
Jon is trained and fluent in numerous engineering design and development software programs. He has been working and designing within the Ag and Construction equipment industry for over 8 years.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Wartburg College.
Jon is a native of Iowa and currently resides in northern Indiana with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hunting, and farming.
Ryan enjoys working closely with clients to help inspire creativity, develop strategies, and champion ideas. As the Senior Industrial Designer, Ryan uses his insights, experience, and strategies to drive clients to build their ideas into meaningful and innovative products.
Ryan has earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Industrial Design from Iowa State University.
He is a native of Northeast Iowa, outside of work, Ryan likes spending time with his family, fixing up his old house, and traveling.
Parker is trained extensively in PTC Creo as well as the design for manufacturability for multiple manufacturing operations, GD&T and other engineering disciplines.
Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
An Iowa Native, Parker enjoys anything outdoors such as hunting, camping and riding and restoring motorcycles.
Hayden has worked as a Design Engineer for several clients on a variety of projects.
Hayden is trained in computer aided design packages and manufacturing processes.
Hayden holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia.
Hayden is from Calhoun, GA and enjoys working out and spending time with his family.
Brad has worked mostly in the plastic engineering field after graduating from college. He has worked on several different projects through his career including next generation cabs for John Deere and marine products for Navico.
Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University
Brad is native Texan and is currently working in Georgia. His interests include running, hiking and playing sports.
Zach is trained in Creo and is knowledgeable in design related to manufacturing sheet metal parts, castings, many types of molded parts and has experience with working in large assemblies and creating engineering drawings.
Zach holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
Zach grew up in LeMars, Iowa. Some of his hobbies include running, biking, and playing the trumpet. He also loves to cook, bake, and grill and enjoys time spent at Iowa State Football tailgates.
Danielle is trained to design products of varying manufacturing methods, including but not limited to iron castings, injection moldings, vacuum formed plastics, and rotary molded plastics.
Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Georgia.
Danielle is from Sugar Hill, Georgia and enjoys hiking with her dog through the Appalachian Mountains
Broc has worked both as a technician and engineer providing him with a better understanding of real-world engineering.
Broc holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Georgia.
Broc is from Winston, GA. He enjoys piloting aircraft, fishing out on the lake, and working out.
Julia has gained experience working with many different applications of 3D CAD design and has volunteered for several years for the First Lego League and Robotics competitions.
Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Georgia.
Julia, as well as knowing Creo, is certified in Autodesk Inventor.
Forrest Beeler is an engineer who works with John Deere Power Systems to verify and validate product performance through exhaustive testing.
Forrest knows that being thorough and detail oriented are paramount, regardless of the task.
Forrest has supported the After-treatment team while planning engine life tests and was responsible for leading an overhaul of life test procedures and data collection strategies.
Forrest is a certified Engineer in Training after preparing for and passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Forrest holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Iowa State University.

Louis has worked in a hotrod/machine shop since he was a kid and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Georgia.
Louis was born in Atlanta, Georgia and in his spare time enjoys sheet metal fabrication, machining and forging knives.
Tony has worked at One 3 Design since May 2012 and is the Foreman of the Augusta Operations.
Tony is trained in the use of Service Advisor better aiding in the trouble shooting of tractors with electrical and hydraulic issues, finding the issues and better informing the customer of the issues, and what to look for in the future when they see the same issue.
Tony holds an associate degree in Diesel Agriculture Technology from Kirkwood Community College.
Tony is from Vinton, IA currently living in Augusta, GA and enjoys hunting, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his wife and kids.
Alex is a shop foreman who works with the shop technicians along with the customers to work through day to day items as well as repair needs.
Alex has worked at One3 for the past 7 years and has been involved in many large tractor builds.
Alex is a certified Ag Diesel Tech trained in gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, power trains, and fuel systems.
Alex holds an Ag Diesel Power degree from Hawkeye Community College.
Alex is an Iowa native. His interests include dirt track racing, fishing, and farming. In his free time, if he is not in the shop working on a race car you can find him out on the lake or visiting family and friends.
Mike has worked as a journeyman machinist, industrial maintenance technician, maintenance planner and a maintenance crew leader.
Mike attended Augusta Technical College for machine tool operation. He worked an apprenticeship for machine work to attain journeyman status.
Mike owned and operated a machine shop for 6 years making custom automotive hitch covers.
Mike worked over 30 years in maintenance at Kimberly Clark corporation.
Mike is from Evans, Georgia and enjoys doing machine work in his home shop, restoring antique cars and tractors, antique tractor pulling competition, hunting, fishing, camping and other activities with his family.
Leo is a mechanic that is well-versed in what it takes to complete John Deere repair work.
Leo believes that above all else quality is the most important value he should focus on when working on
Leo graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College from the John Deere Tech. program.
Dylan is a technician that specializes in the repair of John Deere heavy equipment.
Dylan holds had Associates of Applied Science degree from Hawkeye Community college.
Dylan believes that the high quality of the work he does is influenced by the pride he takes in each job
Lawrence believes that working under the guidelines and specifications of the major companies we work with allows him to help produce the best, and most up to date tractors for our customers.
Lawrence holds multiple degrees. Graduating from North East Iowa Community College with an Advanced technician John Deere Degree, as well as an Applied Arts Degree. He also has studied general teaching from Upper Iowa University.
Lawrence resides in Shell Rock Iowa. His interests include hunting and fishing, helping on his grandparent’s farm, and spending time with his family and friends.
Gene is a mechanic for One3 Design. He works with preparing engines to be put on the assembly lines.
Gene likes to have good communication and positive relationship with the customers that he works with.
Gene has over 37 years of experience of assembly and tractor repair at John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa before his retirement.
In Gene’s free time, he does a little farming and enjoys spending time with his family.
Dick believes in doing the highest quality work no matter which of our three locations he is working at.
Dick had 33 years’ experience in hydraulics, electronics and air-conditioning at Deere & Co. before retiring then joining the One3 Design team.
Dick is a native Iowan that enjoys golf year-round which means several trips out of Iowa during the winter months.
Madison has worked at One 3 Design since July 2017.
Madison is trained in various heavy equipment repairs and tries to find better/ faster ways to repair issues to get the machine back to the customer faster and at a higher quality.
Madison holds an associate degree in Heavy Equipment Service Management from Lincoln College of Technology.
Madison is from Harlem, GA and is part owner of a custom hay baling and cattle operation with his father and enjoys hunting, fishing, and working on the farm.
David has directly supported John Deere on most if not all major quality issues over the last 4 years, including the redesign of many key parts and quality prosses.
David is an experienced project manager with years of onsite hands on experience within the supply chain industry.
David is from Augusta, GA and enjoys spending his free time working at his brothers driving range and spending time with his family.
Jeff is a part-time mechanic and direct liaison with John Deere who works on the 7R TLS engine project, which involves engines from John Deere Mexico shipped direct to our Viking Rd. location.
Jeff believes that direct and open communication, quality of work and meeting deadlines are critical to the process of the projects he is involved with.
Jeff has participated in several projects that have involved the receipt, build and shipping of thousands of engines to John Deere Tractor Cab & Assembly Operations.
Jeff is also a police captain with the Cedar Falls, IA Police Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Upper Iowa University and has attended the FBI National Academy.
Rick Kresser works on the 6.8 engine oil pan exchange program.
Rick retired from John Deere after 38 years of service, the last 19 years as an engine assembler.
Rick grew up on a farm near Jesup, Iowa. He enjoys spending time with his 4 children & 7 grandchildren. He also enjoys riding his bike across Iowa on RAGBRAI.
