One3 Design Team

Clay Martin serves as the Director of Business Development for One3 Design. He has worked as a professional consultant and trainer for almost 25 years, specializing in PTC’s suite of digital engineering solutions. Clay’s areas of expertise include complex and Class-A surface modeling and feature-based parametric CAD model construction. He has led many endeavors to implement CAD/CAM technology for his clients and has an extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes. Clay is a degreed engineer graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1997.

Clay's focus in this company is to use his long-standing industry experience to build strong client relationships and to promote the diversified strengths of One3 Design. When not in the office, he enjoys activities with his family like hunting, traveling, and attending sporting events.

Justin Svoboda is the Director of Finance and has worked for One3 Design since March of 2000 to keep the business running smoothly and financial records straight.

Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Northern Iowa.

Justin is an Iowa native. His interests include traveling, playing cards, and watching his two children’s sporting events. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Hawkeye football and basketball games with his wife.

Corey Gross is our Operations Manager for Shop Services. He works with our clients to define project scope, cost and scheduling and oversees a successful completion of those projects.

Corey has completed extensive repair training for Caterpillar and John Deere. In 2009 Corey became a Master Technician for Caterpillar and in 2012 he became an Expert Technician for John Deere.

Corey holds a A.A.S degree in Applied Engineering and Diesel Technology from Kirkwood Community College and A B.S. in Service Operations Management from St Cloud State University.

Corey is originally from Iowa. He enjoys crop farming, working out and camping when not in the office.

Jon is trained and fluent in numerous engineering design and development software programs. He has been working and designing within the Ag and Construction equipment industry for over 8 years.

Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Wartburg College.

Jon is a native of Iowa and currently resides in northern Indiana with his family. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hunting, and farming.

Matt has over 33 years of experience in the areas of mechanical design, product development, and program management. Significant experience in mobile hydraulic and electro-hydraulic control systems.

Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in Ag Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from University of Michigan (Dearborn).

Matt is from an Iowa farm and has been actively involved in farm operation, which included ag machine operation and repair. In his free time Matt enjoys spending time at the golf course.

Travis Swehla is a senior engineer who works with clients to initiate solutions and complete projects to specifications needed.

Travis is trained in the engineering software Creo, Design for Six Sigma and Advanced Product Quality Planning.

Travis holds an Associate in Applied Science degree in Mechanical Design from NIACC.

Travis and his family live on a century farm in NE Iowa growing corn, soybeans, hay/alfalfa, hogs and cattle. In his spare time, he enjoys working in his shop, anything outdoors, and sports with his kids.

Ryan enjoys working closely with clients to help inspire creativity, develop strategies, and champion ideas.  As the Senior Industrial Designer, Ryan uses his insights, experience, and strategies to drive clients to build their ideas into meaningful and innovative products.

Ryan has earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master’s degree in Industrial Design from Iowa State University.

He is a native of Northeast Iowa, outside of work, Ryan likes spending time with his family, fixing up his old house, and traveling.

Adam is an industrial designer at One3 Design. He specializes in idea generation, concept sketching, model building, and 3-D rendering. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Industrial Design and a concentration in Automotive Design.

In his role, Adam works closely with our customers as well as our staff engineers to bring concepts to reality. He does this by producing sketches and drawings focused on the relationship between form and function while keeping in mind aspects like manufacturability, ergonomics, semantics, and aesthetics.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting outdoors, playing drums in his rock band, and building up his Jeep to go four-wheeling.

Dave loves his work; he often says if he weren't doing it for a living he would still be designing in his free time. He thoroughly enjoys the creative process required taking something from nothing and defining the product design. As a senior staff designer, Dave uses his experience, insights, and strategic thinking to help clients meet their goals.

Dave earned a Bachelor's in Product Design from NC State University.

He is native to Hickory, North Carolina, outside of work, Dave likes designing, spending time with his family, and most of all strengthening his faith.

Hayden has worked as a Design Engineer for several clients on a variety of projects.

Hayden is trained in computer aided design packages and manufacturing processes.

Hayden holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia.

Hayden is from Calhoun, GA and enjoys working out and spending time with his family.

Brad has worked mostly in the plastic engineering field after graduating from college. He has worked on several different projects through his career including next generation cabs for John Deere and marine products for Navico.

Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University

Brad is native Texan and is currently working in Georgia. His interests include running, hiking and playing sports.

Zach is trained in Creo and is knowledgeable in design related to manufacturing sheet metal parts, castings, many types of molded parts and has experience with working in large assemblies and creating engineering drawings.

Zach holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.

Zach grew up in LeMars, Iowa. Some of his hobbies include running, biking, and playing the trumpet. He also loves to cook, bake, and grill and enjoys time spent at Iowa State Football tailgates.

Broc has worked both as a technician and engineer providing him with a better understanding of real-world engineering.

Broc holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Georgia.

Broc is from Winston, GA. He enjoys piloting aircraft, fishing out on the lake, and working out.

Forrest Beeler is an engineer who works with John Deere Power Systems to verify and validate product performance through exhaustive testing.

Forrest knows that being thorough and detail oriented are paramount, regardless of the task.

Forrest has supported the After-treatment team while planning engine life tests and was responsible for leading an overhaul of life test procedures and data collection strategies.

Forrest is a certified Engineer in Training after preparing for and passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.

Forrest holds a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Iowa State University.

Is an Engineer who helps our clients with their tooling design projects.

Louis has worked in a hotrod/machine shop since he was a kid and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Georgia.

Louis was born in Atlanta, Georgia and in his spare time enjoys sheet metal fabrication, machining and forging knives.

Danielle is a mechanical engineer at One3 Design who has worked primarily in casting design. Her experience with One3 Design has also taught her the ins and outs of sheet metal, plastics, and various other manufacturing and design processes. She has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Georgia.

Danielle strives to flawlessly combine a client’s wants with the reality of manufacturing and fabrication limitations. It is this focus drive to meet customer expectations that cause our clients to enjoy working with her.

Danielle grew up in Sugar Hill Georgia and in her spare time, she enjoys doing anything outdoors including hiking, camping, and reading.

Ethan is the Supply Chain Coordinator for One3 Design. He has worked in numerous roles during his 7+ years with the company. In his current role, he mainly focuses on managing the accurate and timely delivery of supplies, raw materials, and finished goods, packaging, inventory management, supplier relations, and inbound/ outbound logistics. Ethan has two degrees from the University of Northern Iowa, Business Administration: Management, and a degree in Supply Chain Management.

Ethan focuses on helping the company run effectively and efficiently by ensuring everything gets done on time and in the correct capacity. He spends countless hours looking for new suppliers to help him meet this goal. Ethan believes the most important part of any supply chain is the people involved that make it all possible. When Ethan is not at work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, watching college wrestling and football, and spending time with his family and friends.

Tony has worked at One 3 Design since May 2012 and is the Foreman of the Augusta Operations.

Tony is trained in the use of Service Advisor better aiding in the trouble shooting of tractors with electrical and hydraulic issues, finding the issues and better informing the customer of the issues, and what to look for in the future when they see the same issue.

Tony holds an associate degree in Diesel Agriculture Technology from Kirkwood Community College.

Tony is from Vinton, IA currently living in Augusta, GA and enjoys hunting, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Leo is a mechanic that is well-versed in what it takes to complete John Deere repair work.

Leo believes that above all else quality is the most important value he should focus on when working on equipment.

Leo graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College from the John Deere Tech. program.

Dick believes in doing the highest quality work no matter which of our three locations he is working at.

Dick had 33 years’ experience in hydraulics, electronics and air-conditioning at Deere & Co. before retiring then joining the One3 Design team.

Dick is a native Iowan that enjoys golf year-round which means several trips out of Iowa during the winter months.

David has directly supported John Deere on most if not all major quality issues over the last 4 years, including the redesign of many key parts and quality prosses.

David is an experienced project manager with years of onsite hands on experience within the supply chain industry.

David is from Augusta, GA and enjoys spending his free time working at his brothers driving range and spending time with his family.

Ryan is a technician at One3 Design, specializing in machining, welding, and fabrication. He graduated in 2008 from Hawkeye Community College with an AAS in CNC machining. He came to us after working 12 years working in various roles at John Deere.

Ryan says, "the most important way to be successful at what I do is to treat every project like it is my own and to understand exactly what needs to be done so that every project meets its deadline." On his days off, Ryan likes to spend time with his wife Amy and daughter Iyla, complete projects around his acreage, and golf.

Cody was a CNC machinist for 13 years prior to joining the One3 Design team. In his current role Cody repairs tractors coming straight from the factory, and rebuilds PTOs, and exhausts.

He says the two things he considers most when working on customer equipment are timeliness and quality. He believes it is important to not lose sight of quality when trying to complete a rebuild quickly, and that it is paramount to provide the perfect balance of high-quality rebuild and timeliness.

On his days off, Cody likes to spend time with his wife and kids, go hunting, fishing, and racing.

Chuck is a technician at One3 Design, he came to us with 25+ years of experience as a CNC machinist. Throughout his life he has been running and repairing heavy ag equipment, he uses this hands-on experience to help him troubleshoot issues with the vehicles that roll through our doors. In his current role, Chuck pulls PTOs and rebuilds them, and he also changes differential cases.

He thinks the most important thing to remember when working with clients is to always be professional in the work that is completed and to give customers the best quality work we can produce. When not at work, Chuck likes to go boating, water skiing, fishing, and for long rides on his motorcycle.

Gene is a mechanic for One3 Design. He works with preparing engines to be put on the assembly lines.

Gene likes to have good communication and positive relationship with the customers that he works with.

Gene has over 37 years of experience of assembly and tractor repair at John Deere in Waterloo, Iowa before his retirement.

In Gene’s free time, he does a little farming and enjoys spending time with his family.

Rick Kresser works on the 6.8 engine oil pan exchange program.

Rick retired from John Deere after 38 years of service, the last 19 years as an engine assembler.

Rick grew up on a farm near Jesup, Iowa. He enjoys spending time with his 4 children & 7 grandchildren. He also enjoys riding his bike across Iowa on RAGBRAI.
